A WEAPON IS BORN
06/30/2015
Buchholz was created by Michael Cormier and Casey Robbins and donated in June of 2015. It is made of poplar wood purchased from Lowes, sanded and double coated with Minwax PolyShades Black Satin stain, then sanded again and double coated with Minwax PolyShades Pecan Satin stain.
The staff's name, Buchholz, is of special significance to Casey, as she attended Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. The school's colors are black and gold, a motif repeated in Buchholz the staff's black and golden brown dappled coloring. Additionally, Michael worked as a volunteer with the school's Theater Department and as a substitute teacher for several years.
