FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Please contact us at lance.orlando.info@gmail.com or (407) 906-3647. Photography meet-ups are welcome! We look forward to working with you!
PARTNERING WITH PHOTOGRAPHERS
Photographers are welcome at all LANCE training days and rehearsals, though we highly recommend that you plan to come on Garb Day, where a bunch of LANCE members will be dressed up in fantasy, Medieval, and Renaissance, Pirate (and more!) costumes. Garb Day is the best time to get interesting and comical shots of LANCE members in action!
As performers, we love to pose for photos, and we don't mind running a fight a few times so that you get the exact shot you want. We understand that action photos are hard to get right, and we will certainly try to accommodate you. Here's what we ask in return:
As performers, we love to pose for photos, and we don't mind running a fight a few times so that you get the exact shot you want. We understand that action photos are hard to get right, and we will certainly try to accommodate you. Here's what we ask in return:
- Free, credited use of your photos for noncommercial purposes, including on our website and social media and for other marketing purposes. If you have different ideas of how you'd like permissions between yourself and LANCE Orlando to work, please make these perimeters clear to us in advance.
- If we decide we want to create merchandise with your photo on it, we agree to notify you and to give you 10% of our profits from that merchandise.
- Ideally, we'd like access to all of the photos you take of us, but we'll settle for a dozen photos that you thought came out really well.
- We will credit any photos of yours that we use on our website however you'd like, including with links to your website or social media. We also recommend that you discreetly watermark your photos.
- We need a reliable way to contact you. A phone number and an email address works for us.
- If you would like to draw up a legal contract to work with us, please contact our President, Elizabeth Weisstein, at info@lanceorlando.com or (407) 906-3647 directly.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
- Don't get too close to performers when they're running a fight. The weapons we use are real steel and hardwood. They may not maim you, but they could certainly damage your equipment or leave a nasty bruise. Performers will do their best to stay well clear of obstacles and people, but be sure to remain alert and get out of the way if you see them coming toward you!
- Do not touch any weapons under any circumstances.
- Do not distract performers while they are running a fight. Please don't shout or motion for their attention. Stage combat is still dangerous, and performers need to focus on the fight to keep themselves and their partners safe.
- As always, please be respectful of our performers!
